Good lighting, light weight and great price. I use this with a Sony VX-2100 which has great low lighting capabilities. The 770L adds just enough light to a shot to take out the graininess. I use it at weddings for interviews and other areas where the lighting is too low. It great for the getaway shots outside at night and inside the limo.

This light puts out a nice amount of light for close to camera interviews, or can be used to back light or to highlight another area on the set. With the barn doors, it could even be used as a hair light in a standard 3-point lighting setup.
The light housing seems durable, although I don't plan on drop testing it. The barn door seem to be thin stamped aluminium and very durable.

I would have liked to see the inclusion of some additional gels / color temp filters. But for the price, it's not a problem. I can easily acquire the filters I need.

When I used the light with the included shoe mount and pivot bracket as an on-camera light, it seems to "bounce" around during pans, tilts, and trucking. If you shoot a lot of "run-n-gun" then the mount bracket may be a little less than durable. I'm afraid it's going to break, so I'm fairly careful with it. Maybe if it was an all metal mounting bracket and light housing I would feel better.

Either way, I plan to put it to good use in many ways.

The light has be very useful as an additional light source in difficult lighting situations although I won't use it as a primary light source. I was hoping it was a little brighter than it is but considering the size, weight and battery life it does a very good job for what we use it for. Since our camera didn't have a shoe mount for the light we had to purchase an adapter to mount the camera to the top of our camera, which had a screw mount. I would either include the adapter in the kit or produce the light with optional mounts. A small case would be a nice option as well.

Excellent light for corporate video work. Interviews, and fill work, great. Some flicker at low battery power.

Pros: Lightweight, adjustable hot-shoe mount, built-in re-chargeable battery.

Cons: None to speak of! Inside the barn doors could be sliver-reflective coated instead of black.

This is a tremendous light. This on-camera led light is durable, well constructed, light-weight and most importantly priced right! Other features include built-in rechargeable lithium battery and a battery test button to check the battery charge. Considering today's economy... a light that has the price-to-performance ratio that this one has is stunning... When other brands cost upwards of $350 and more...and much more, this $100 camera light does the job. I have even used it on my still digital photo camera to take table top pictures of small items I was selling on ebay!
