ALZO "FASTBOX™" ASSEMBLY

The ALZO 800 Fastbox™ includes:

1. Wire frame Fastbox™ (soft box)
2. Socket Assembly
3. Fastbox Ring™
4. Ballast Strap Wing Screws
5. ALZO DAYLIGHT HID Bulb
6. ALZO 800 Ballast

The ballast generates the start pulse and proper regulated power to drive the HID bulb. The HID bulb will not work without the ballast.

Step 1
Attach the Socket Assembly (3) to the light stand. The ALZO light stand “multi-mode” top allows for a variety of attachment orientations. The attachment shown on the left (light mount stud side mounted) will allow the Fastbox™ the best range of movement.

Tighten the wing screw on the light stand and the lever on the socket assembly for a firm attachment.

STEP - 2
Attach the Fastbox™ Ring to the socket assembly by aligning the pins on the back of the ring with the slotted holes in the socket assembly. Rotate the ring clockwise to engage. Tighten down the ring lock screw (2). This will lock the ring in place.

Lock screw (1) adjusts the  position of the bulb in the Fastbox™.

NOTE: Keep bulb deep in the Fastbox™.

Lock Screw (3) is the umbrella lock (umbrella use is an optional alternative)

STEP - 3
Screw the bulb into the socket.

STEP - 4
Open the Fastbox™ by inserting a hand inside the folded box pushing on the wire frame in the fabric until it pops open. Set it on a table facing you. Lay the diffuser in front of the Fastbox™ with the Velcro hooks facing up, Roll under the back edge of the diffuser and attach the diffuser edge to the bottom interior Velcro strip inside the Fastbox™ (as shown on left).

Now pull the center front edge of the diffuser up and attach it to the center upper interior Velcro strip of the Fastbox™. Point 1 on image ->

Follow the sequence of attachment shown for fast and accurate alignment of the diffuser.

STEP – 5
The Fastbox™ is attached to the ring by maneuvering the rear attachment flaps over the ring as shown.

The bottom flap fits under the ring and requires a slight push outward on the bottom of the ring (as shown)
