Our ALZO Studio Boom is a stable boom with a 5 lb. counter weight and it can support all of our light heads including our ALZO 2000 with a 36" softbox. 

The adjustable length boom arm uses an all cast metal universal junction to attach the arm to the stand and allow for rotation of the arm.

The extension length of the adjustable boom arm is dependant on the weight of the light supported by the boom. A typical light weighing under 4 lbs can be extended about 40" from the stand upright. Additional extension requires added counter weight.

The Studio Boom Arm fits light stands with 25mm or 27mm diameter upper sections. Do no use on stands without air cushioning.

We also recommend use of a sand bag or other weight on the tripod base of the light stand to improve stability.

CASTORS FOR 10 FT. ALZO STANDS

For ease of the mobility of your lights, you can attach these heavy-duty locking castors to your 10 ft. ALZO light stand. Each castor has a 4 inch rubber wheel, and has all ball bearing action. The castors weigh 2 lbs apiece adding 6 lbs of extra stability to the base of your ALZO 10 ft. light stand.

ALZO SADDLE BAG STYLE SAND BAG

Additional counter weight is required for maximum boom extension. Also, highly recommended on the tripod base of a stand to steady a boom on the stand.
Always use a sand bag on the tripod base of a light stand when using one on the boom arm.

TRIPOD / LIGHT STAND SOFT CASE

This durable 48" long travel case can fit a camera tripod, 3 or 4 light stands, and our ALZO studio boom. It is constructed of 3/8" thick high density closed cell foam padding with a heavy weight water resistant nylon outer shell, interior nylon lining and a full length nylon sipper.  It also has 3 exterior pockets, an adjustable nylon handle and a shoulder strap. An excellent travel case.
